Zou Bisou Bisou... Oh kiss kiss

^^^ Did you watch the video?

Then... watch it... I'll wait while you enjoy the video...

Last night, Colon and I watched the first episode of season 5 (I think it was 5) and I loved this scene. The song was catchy BUT I was (slightly) uncomfortable because this was in front of Don's coworkers... AWKWARD!

But... the song is catchy and I have been humming it all day. That is why I downloaded it as my ringtone! Yup. Call me people so I can hear this ringtone.

The past few work days have gone by so slowly and again I am questioning myself when it comes to my job. Again, I love my job. It's just that lately I have been having "rough" days. Days where I am ready to throw in the towel. I guess... I am not happy anymore.

Why do these questions keep coming up? Why, Oh why?

----rant over-----

Now that that's over... TOMORROW IS FRIDAY. Thank God! I cannot wait for the weekend. Time to relax and spend time with my love.

Go watch the video again!

PS... Is anyone else excited for the new Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie?

Last few weeks on Hangouts!

So... as usual, Colon sent me some fun links during the day through Google Hangouts these past few weeks. I am dedicating this post to those links...

Hope they make your day!

* In honor of last weeks' Game of Thrones ...
So True!

* Because I loath King Joffrey

* Sleeping in our house is difficult. These two illustrate Colon's strategy...

* Because he knows I love turtles!

* This one made me laugh so hard...

* Colon thinks this is what I do!

* I think he is concerned about my dancing!

Things to do on my day off:

* Clean the house- Major cleanage needs to be done. DONE and DONE. Didn't take long. The floors are mopped and vaccuumed. Surfaces wiped down. Papers organized. Not too shabby!

* Put away all dishes. DONE :) No more dirty dishes

* Research the Kindle E-Ink and the Kindle Paperwhite (Wi-fi or 3G)- My older generation Kindle screen is messed up and I am in the market for a new Kindle. Apparently I cannot make up my mind. If I go with the Paperwhite, then I have to decide between the 3G or Wi-fi version. I am thinking 3G!

Instagram: @lechagar
RIP to my little friend...
you gave me 4 years of your life and gave me
some tears, good laughs, and some gasps.
* Shoot a house tour video for dad so he can see where I live.- Not a great video but at least he got a tour of the house. I like this whole video vlog thing!

* Finish watching Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones. - Colon and I started it last night, but I could not keep my eyes open. I am loving this show. We will probably watch the rest later on tonight... but I cannot wait. The events in the first two episodes of the season have been... AMAZING! I was so upset after the Red Wedding... but I recent events have sucked me in! NO SPOILERS!

* Figure out how to turn on the living room computer so I can finally play Diablo III. I didn't figure it out yet but it will happen and another Diablo III addiction filled days will happen again!

* Try to do a vintage side roll - I wish I was as awesome as Natalie! Didn't happen! Did you see how awesome she was with the roll? Her hands are like magic!

* Try a DIY Biore strip... another fun thing on Natalie's channel!

* Listen to the playlist from Charisma's Monday post!... "I just want to be OK"

* Try the "What will the tethered helium balloon do when I accelerate" experiment.

* Experiment with blowing out eggs. I have never tried this and want to become an expert for next Easter! Disaster...

*Have fun... yup... I will!

PS...  (this will be a LONG post script!)

My last 36 in 2014 book update was more than a month ago. In that post, I mentioned that I have a "clear my Kindle list" goal. Welp... I have been doing just that. All of the books that I have added were Amazon books. Some were very short. Some were super long. Some were good. Some were bad. I don't usually write out reviews, but I DO give my thoughts based on the Goodreads star numbers.

Anything with:
4+ stars means I LOVED the book.
3 stars means I wouldn't recommend the book but didn't hate it. I could at least read the whole thing.
2 stars means I finished it but it was a struggle. Would definitely not recommend it.
1 star means I hated it and was not able to finish it.

Check out my Goodreads page for reviews!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

Colon and I have spent the day together doing household chores. We ran to the grocery, picked up some food and then came home to clean the cars.

Yes. I know I just got that car, but this Arizona dust will NOT settle on my car. I plan to keep this car nice and clean!

*As I am typing this up, I am thinking of the meaning of this Easter Sunday and trying to figure out how the Easter bunny and Easter eggs pertain to this amazing day. It's a cute tradition and my curiosity lead me here

*Yesterday, when I got home from volunteering, I received a call from my mom. She insisted that I check the mail. And guess what... There was a package full of Easter goodies from my mom!

She's the best!
She even got a wood carved Florida ornament! It is so freaking cool!

*Today, I am going to take Charisma's advice and just be grateful for the person that I am and the body that I have. She always has the best posts!

*When I opened yesterday's post from Staircase Wit, I started laughing. The picture perfectly describes me!

* I am missing my  sister and want to visit New York so I can see her. Julie made it worse with her pictures of new York City!

* This lovely lady mentioned two ( 1 & 2 ) AWESOME links in her post yesterday. The Shakespeare panels made me smile!
Go wish her a Happy Easter!

* How cool would it be to order groceries and have them delivered to you the next day. Amazon seems to be making that happen... (I cannot remember where I first saw this...)

* I have mentioned the Cups Song before. I am still obsessed with that song, but I have more respect for Anna Kendrick after her SNL Disney monologue. It's awesome!

*Last but not least, I am digging the high wasted bathing suit look. I don't know if it will look good on me, but I am willing to try one. I found a DIY high waisted bathing suit tutorial and am itching to make one for myself!

Again, Happy Easter y'all!

* Today, my boss announced that she would be leaving the company. I could tell that she was unhappy for the longest time. It was just a matter of time before she gave notice. welp... she announced it today and it was kind of sad.

* I finally brought in my old car to the dealership today. This should not make me feel sad but it does. As I handed over my keys and title to the dealership, I started recalling all of the trips I took in that car. I remember learning to drive in it. I resolved myself to taking one last picture of my Rav4 before I jumped into my new car.

* The first two things that I mentioned were sad.... but today really wasn't a sad day. It dragged on, but I had a great day. Everyone seemed to be in such a good mood. No pessimism in my little corner of the world.

It's blurry... I know...
I was sad!

* The rest of this post will consist of links that I found worth sharing!

* Sometimes friendships need to be evaluated... but how do you handle those that you are unsure of?

* I mentioned His Little Lady's Hairspirations posts before, but the snake braid is super cool! Why doesn't my attempt come out as cool?

* I want to make a floral headband. Does anyone else want to join me in the DIY fun?

* I am so going to try to do a bunhive! Mad Men style!

* Sometimes grammar lessons are necessary. No matter how old you are!

* I am thinking about getting pieces of jewelry. My favorite kind: dainty and feminine!

* Proof that you don't need words to argue... babies are soooo cute!

* Proof that there are idiots out there...

...and Colon and I are spending the night playing Mario!

Oh yeah!

Sometimes you want to feel blue...

The title to this posts sounds so depressing... but I promise that everything is A-OK over here.

Actually it's more than just OK.

After days and weeks of stressing out over my car, my stress has been done away with. Monday morning, I went to the bank and figured out my financing. I was having trouble with financing because I am a first time buyer of a big ticket item (AKA car or house). On Sunday, the dealership told me I would NEED a cosigner. I was freaking out because I didn't want to burden my parents. But my mom is amazing and said she would help.

I was stressing out at work yesterday. So nervous about the strain on my budget that this new car would present. What if I could not find a RELIABLE car within my budget? I couldn't keep bothering Colon to drive me to and from work. He always ended up hitting traffic after dropping me off at work or on his way to pick me up.

Once the bank financing was in place, we decided to go to the dealership on my day off...

We woke up and made our way to a different Toyota dealership. We looked and looked. I sat in cars and test drove the one that caught my eye. Colon was a master at "haggling" and we got a pretty good deal.

Five hours and a free lunch later, I drove off the lot in my new car. I am so happy because the dealership give me a better financing offer for the car (without a cosigner!) and the finances seem more feasible for me now.

I love my BLUE car (hence the name of the post title...) and I am so excited to drive it around.

Here's to my first car and my ability to drive myself to places!

Oh... and to Colon too! We cannot forget him!

Laughs on the weekend...

After the news about my car on Friday and  a LONG day at work,  Colon took me to a comedy show at the Tempe Improv. The headliner was Chris D'elia.

I have not laughed so hard in such a long time. Every person that donned that stage made me laugh. Especially Jason Collings. You should check out some of his bits. They will have you on the floor laughing.

We ended up going to the show with one of Colon's friends, his wife, and another friend. The company made the night even better and it was great to laugh with friends.

It was great seeing Colon laughing. I have always LOVED the sound of his laugh and hearing it made me laugh harder and made my heart smile.

After the show, we found out that it was the birthday of one of his friends. So we made our way to World of Beer where Colon treated me to a glass of Woodchuck Cider! It was cool talking and hearing stories. Such a great night. Colon and I have been such hermits lately and it was such an amazing feeling to have a night out. We are so old...

Saturday was just as fun. Colon was hosting a family event for one of his extracurricular societies. There were so many kids there and a lot of cool games. I had so much fun seeing Colon with work colleagues. I also made sure to hog the tricycle from all of the other kids. :)

The rest of Saturday was spent lazing around the house.  I can say the same for the rest of Sunday.

Colon and I continued watching Mad Men and Bob's Burgers. It has been AMAZING! Betty Draper (Francis... whatever) annoys the crap out of me as the seasons progress and Don Draper has me coming back for more!

Anyways, today will probably be spent stressing about car issues. Wish me luck and pray for me guys.

Putter putter to a stop

That car diagnosis I mentioned the other day...

It's no bueno.

I sat there for less than 20 minutes. They were able to determine that it isn't my transmission fluid. They pulled codes and determined that my transmission is bad. So... it'll be $3000 to fix the transmission. Another $1200 for the 4 O2 sensors and another couple hundred to fix the AC. Close to $5000 to fix a 13 year old car with close to 200,000 miles on it.

I have spent the whole weekend thinking on it and have come to the conclusion that a new car is definitely in my future! It's not worth it to fix all the problems. STRESS.

So... yesterday we started the car search. It was unsuccessful. I was unprepared and totally embarrassed that I didn't look further into the financing process.

Just embarrassing. I left discouraged and resolved to my car-less fate. In my mind, Colon would be driving me everywhere for the rest of my life. BLAH.

Cue the phone conversation with my mom. She always knows what to say to make me feel better. Now I am just waiting to get the finances in line so that I can bring home my new baby!

I am still stressed, though!

TGI Viernes

I am currently sitting and waiting for my car diagnosis. Bah... sitting here is just making me more nervous so I have been reading and thumbing through some links on the internet. Here are some things that have been keeping me entertained...

The Pioneer Woman always has the best pictures...
His Little Lady's hairspiration posts have definitely inspired me.
I soooooo need to try one out.
Sometimes April Fools jokes are awesome!

Crack... that's me car shifting gears...

It's almost Friday y'all!

Thank. The. Lord.

AND it's Sibling Day.

So, here is a picture of me with most of my siblings.

Aren't we cute?

I have not updated since the beginning of this crazy week. Time has flown by and this week was hectic. Work was stressful and house life was just as stressful.

On my drive home Tuesday night, I noticed that my car was not accelerating normally. It was to the point where it would not accelerate past 45 mph. So, I took backstreets home and have not used my car since. Colon has been so sweet and has driven me to and from work for the past two days.

I have been freaking out because I KNOW transmission issues are EXPENSIVE to fix. So, buying a new car seemed like it was on the horizon. BUT I can't buy a new car right now. I have been stressing about car costs the last couple of days.

Stressing so much that I have been talking my coworkers' ears off about my car troubles. Everyone at work says to check my transmission fluid level. The problems I am having with gear switching and acceleration can be directly related to transmission fluid levels.

I googled instructions and tried to check the fluid level for myself. I used this and this and determined that my fuel level was low. But I am not really sure. I don't know anything about cars. So, I made an appointment for tomorrow. I am so nervous and am crossing my fingers that it is just my transmission fluid levels and not something more serious.

Also, there are other things that happened this week that I am so excited about. I am not in the mindset to talk about it yet, but just know you will be getting updates soon.

Enjoy your night y'all!

Baby Fever?

I usually start Monday posts off with some kind of quip about it being hard to go back to work... or it being a typical Monday.

Welp... Today wasn't a typical Monday.

I didn't wake up exhausted. I actually ended up waking up an hour before my alarm. I decided to spend that hour reading. I was mentally awake but had such a hard time keeping my eyes open. So, about thirty minutes before my alarm went off, I closed my Kindle and took a nap. (I seriously need to keep this in mind!)

Guys... I had the weirdest dream.

I dreamt that I had a baby. I didn't necessarily give birth to the baby in my dream. It was all the fun stuff after all the pain. I feel in love guys. YET, I was so relieved when my alarm went off and I realized that I didn't have to take care of a baby.

Baby fever?

And that's how my Monday started. I was nervous about going into work because I have been talking about March Madness and my Gators for weeks now. I am sure everyone at work was tired of it. So after watching my Gators play on Saturday, I was shocked and disappointed. UConn played great and my Gators did not play to their potential. I won't dwell on it here and my coworkers didn't mention a thing. SO.... I was nervous for nothing.

What made today even better? I finally took out my embossing tools and made cards for some of my friends. I am trying to revive letter and card writing. Sometimes it's just fun to write "just because" letters.

I think I am falling in love with writing because I started a journal. Well... not really a journal... It's just a small notebook where I can make lists, write my feelings, doodle... just anything. And I love it! If I can fill this notebook, then I will get crafty and make my own journal!

now... I think I am going to get some reading in... and maybe dream about babies. JUST KIDDING! I think it's just my excitement for my TWO coworkers AND this sweet lady who have announced their pregnancy!

EEEkkkkk... babies!

...loving this Edelweiss cover by the Honey Trees! Sound of Music for the WIN!

Four teams...

Screenshot from my phone!
I forgot to mention that today my Gators are playing in the Final Four today against UConn.

I am shaking in my boots while watching this game!

Come on boys!

*** The title of this post hints to the outcome that I am hoping for!
My Gator boys need to play better!

It's the weekend y'all and I started off my weekend by having a GREAT Friday. The perfect way to start my "happiness" pact with myself.

* woke up 30 minutes before my alarm and had no qualms with it.
* had energy and started getting ready with a new pep in my step.
* actually was in the mood to do my makeup.
* even put my hair up in a make-shift bun. [To be honest, my hair was really greasy. I have been meaning to wash my hair for the past couple of days but I did not want to do a thorough hair wash until I did a coconut oil treatment. So... four/ five day hair in a bun was the only thing I could do!]

The only obstacle to my optimism was the watch that my mother gave me when she was here in January. I was getting ready and could not find my watch. I NEVER lose things because I have always been one to put things in their place when I am not using them. So, I searched EVERYWHERE. I started to freak out but then decided to just calm down and wait until after work to scour the house. Guess what guys. That paid off. I came across my watch last night while checking under the bed. YAY!

Last night, I decided I neeeeed to buy Frozen. Colon sent me a video of Kristen Bell singing "Do you want to build a snowman" and I balled! Weird, right?

...and Colon sent me a video of Jon Hamm on a dating show. I think he sent this to me because of my man-candy list! Jon Hamm is just fabulous isn't he? [Why did he use fabulous so much?????...]

Now I am enjoying volunteering and working my butt off. Cannot wait to get home and spend time with my love.

I choose optimism

I have been such a grumpy pants this week. Exhausted and quite pessimistic.

This morning I woke up in the same frame of mind. I had a bruised nose (my Kindle fell on my nose Wednesday night while I was reading in bed). I was tired and exhausted. I kept thinking, "What is the point?" While getting ready for work, I played this video. After wiping away my tears, I decided I would not allow myself to be so pessimistic. I am gathering strength from that boy and am going to put a positive spin on everything from this day forward.

I hope you all watch the video. Gather strength from him. It's worth it!

PLUS it's almost the weekend! Time to relax and PARTY!
AND the Gators play UConn on Saturday.
Fingers crossed.

GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!

What does one do on a day off?

Binge on Mad Men of course! Especially since they updated the seasons on Netflix!

I totally thought I would have a productive day off but then Colon ended up staying home from work. It seems he was still feeling unwell and may have the same stomach bug that I had a few weeks ago.

So, while he was lying in bed, I cleaned the house and binged on Mad Men. I am so obsessed with that show and am admiring Don Draper (Jon Hamm) more and more. While I was watching, i started thinking of other men that I could consider "man candy".

That's how this post was born.

Without further ado...

Lourdes' VERY short list of man candy
Jon Hamm
Didn't make it at first but the more and more I watch the show... YUMMY!
He can do without the "womanizer" thing though.

Henry Cavill
The face.
The eyes.
The body.
The accent.
How can he NOT be on my man candy list?

Cary Grant
So handsome.
Too bad he was a womanizer.
I just like to look at him!

This list got me through this rough day.
Work was rough again today.
Thank God for my day off yesterday!
