HooOOOOooooOOOOoooooOOOO

...and that was me doing a scary ghost voice. Yup. That is how I picture it in my head.

With that, I am back after a week of not blogging. It was a busy week. Work has been keeping me busy but there are other things happening at the moment that I have been working on. I cannot go into details, but I can say that there are going to be some big changes in my life in the next few months. Don't worry, I am not dying and nothing horrible has happened. I promise I will clue you in soon.

But onto other things...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

How could I forget to say that? That should have been the first thing I typed. What are you all doing for Halloween? I am eating candy for Halloween. Yup. I said it. I am not into dressing up and partying. Just give me a bucket of candy and I am fine. Actually, you should be thankful that I am taking time out of my candy-eating night to say hi to you!

Oh and if it's Halloween, it means that Colon and I have made it to five and a half years of dating. YES. You did read that correctly.

FIVE AND A HALF YEARS.

Five and a half years of...

-competing with video games
-getting my nose picked
-pretending to pick his butt (never in public)
-Colon pretending t pick my butt (both in public and when no one is around)
-on and off long distance
-LOVE

I have spent the last five and a half years with my best friend. We have had ups and downs but I can honestly say that my love has not diminished over the last five years. It has increased to levels that I could never have imagined. He is so compassionate and loving. One of the best people I know. I love him with all of my heart!
So, I am going to end this post with:

HAPPY HALF ANNIVERSARY BABU!!!!

...and yet again

The Gators make me proud!

Yes. I did spend my Saturday nursing a hangover,  tailgating, and attending a football game. I may be old but I still love watching my Gators in action. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. We are going to spend the rest of the night watching all of the college football games. Exciting.

And ev'ry last inch of me's covered with hair

...

10 points to the first person to tell me where that line comes from. Oh and that line pretty much has nothing to do with my post. I just thought it would catch your attention.

I really don't have anything important to say. I just wanted to pop in and say hi before the weekend commences. Yes. It's Thursday night. Tomorrow is Friday. WOOOHOOO. I am so excited for the weekend. The week has dragged by so SLOOOOOWWWWLLLLYYYYYY and that's saying something. I woke up sick on Monday and had to call out sick.

So I basically had a 3 day weekend. A weekend full of...

...pumpkin carving. I finally did it. I carved my first pumpkin last weekend. It was so much fun. Colon decided to be a loser and did not want to carve a pumpkin. That's OK. He missed out on something awesome. His loss. PLUS I made homemade roasted pumpkin seeds. YUMMY!

... Putting up Halloween decorations in the apartment. We never did this growing up and I am making it a point to do it this year. I love decorating!

...watching college football. High five for the Gators. They almost gave me a heart attack during last weekends game against Vanderbilt but they still won the game. AND double high five for the Gators being ranked #2. Such a great feeling.

That great feeling turned sour  when I woke on Monday. I spent the whole day watching Sex and the City on E!, sleeping, and chugging water. But my "lazy" day paid off. I felt well on Tuesday and was able to go back to work. It was extremely hard to wake up on Tuesday and it was doubly hard to go back to work. I knew I was going to have to play catch up and I was dreading it. BUT I work with amazing people and they they were able to turn my frown upside down. [ Did I just type that? WOW]. Nevertheless, I cannot wait for the weekend. The main event of the weekend will definitely be the Gator game. We play South Carolina and I am so nervous/excited. Colon, the sweet boy that he is, was able to get me tickets to the game and we are in row 26. It's going to be great.

Do you know what else is great? The "Harry Potter" movies showing on ABC for the last week. I know that I may be too old to like Harry Potter but I do not care. I love the books and I love the movies. I really want to buy the set of movies so I can watch them all of the time. I also need to make time to reread the books.

Oh and one more thing... I received so many emails about this post. I had no idea that people read this here blog. I love it! I do want to add that I have read all of them and still have not gotten around to responding. Sorry!

Anyways, I'm rambling and I am pretty sure most of you have left the building so I am going to aloha right out of here. (I have no idea what I just typed).

Night Ya'll!!

Peeping in on a bathroom break

Wait! What? Two posts in two days? You must be dreaming...

I am just popping in to ask 2 questions...

1. Is it normal for couples to be OK with not shutting the door while using the restroom? I ask because it seems that Colon is getting pretty comfortable with the whole open-door-while-using-bathroom habit. The other day I was using the restroom and Colon starts to open the door and peek in. When I started to complain, he sits on the bathroom counter and tries to have a conversation with me. Is this weird? I want to say no. We've been together for so long it should not matter. BUT I still feel...weird about it. Maybe even uncomfortable by it. Yeah, using the bathroom may be natural. Everyone does it. BUT I don't necessarily want someone to witness me doing it.

*****I have been made aware that I have made Colon look like a creeper and made you all believe that he does this solely for his own enjoyment. I am assuring you that he doesn't. He just likes to mess with me and does it to bother me. So, i guess he does it partly for his own enjoyment. *****

Any thoughts on this?

2. Is it normal to be afraid of contacting people on Craigslist about the merchandise they post? I have been looking for a larger tank for Norton and have noticed how expensive it could be. So, I decided to check out Craigslist. I found a GREAT deal but I am hesitant to contact them. As I click the "email" button, I start to think about all the crazy stories I have heard about people who post on Craigslist.

So, I proceeded to ask Colon to reply to the post for me. That was a no-go. He said no and told me I had to handle this. He gave me the I-think-your-being-irrational-and-crazy look.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have qualms with contacting people on Craigslist?

Anyways, it's late (not really) and I have to go do some dishes (AKA put them in the dishwasher). So good night and sweet dreams....

LS-Who??? Welcome to Gator Country

Have you ever been nervous for the weekend?

That was me as I was driving home from work on Friday. I know it sounds weird. Who would be nervous for the weekend? Apparently I was.

The cause of this nervousness? The Florida football game against LSU. A really good team that had a great chance of whooping our butts. At a Florida HOME GAME. In the Swamp.

It was a big game. LSU always was a big opponent. The game to go to. The game to watch.

I have been so proud of my Gators this season. They have been playing well. BUT playing top 10 teams still makes me nervous.

But there was NO NEED to be nervous. Because we WON and the Gators proved that they can do it. The game was a blast. nerve racking at times, but the drinks I consumed at the tailgate prior to the game made it easier to handle. My throat is killing me. I am sore. I have bruises on my legs. The game was THAT good.

If you could not tell, I am ecstatic that we won. What made it even better? Colon's brother, "K", came in for the game. It was his first Gator game.

SO yeah. This weekend has been great. In other news

* I found a pack of pumpkin beer and have been guzzling it down like crazy (not really... I'm not an alcoholic). Have you tried some? You should. Super yummy!

* I am STILL addicted to Diablo. don't know what it is? Look it up.

* My mommy's birthday was on Wednesday. She is such an amazing person and THE BEST mommy that I know. She will do anything and everything to make us (my sisters and I) happy. I love her and wish her the happiest (belated blog announcement) birthday!

* Yesterday was my BEST FRIEND, Chris' Birthday. All of you should be jealous and i am sure are wishing that you had a Chris in your life. he is amazing and is now a year older. So Happy Birthday Chris. I love you!

*I am determined to carve a pumpkin this month. I have NEVER (I repeat... NEVER) carved a pumpkin in my life. It's going to happen. I swear!

*I am honestly obsessed with the Real Housewives of New Jersey. This group has such a different feel from the other Real Housewives series. They are my favorite.

*Norton is super cute. I went to the reptile store last weekend to look for treats for him. I started speaking with one of the store associates and asked a whole lot of questions. I found out that Norton will grow to be a little bit bigger than the length of my hand. I found out that Norton is not a boy, but a girl (Shocker... I am still keeping his name). I knew that I needed a bigger tank, but was curious about the size I needed. The associate informed me that a 40 gallon will do but a 55-gallon is better. So, I am in the market for a 55-gallon tank for Norton. He deserves the best.

I saw the hatchling turtles. They were so cute. I had no idea that how tiny they were and they are even cuter when they are mini-Nortons.

I went to this reptile store to check out the inventory. I left with live crickets and 40-50 earthworms for Norton. He LOVED them and has been enjoying his live meals for the past week. He recognizes the worm container and swims to the top of the tank when he sees it.

I realize I have been talking entirely too much about Norton so I will stop soon. I just want to add that I see a mini-Norton entering the picture soon.

1. Norton.
2. Tortoises at the reptile store
3. Norton basking under his heat lamp.

Oh and before I move on... I saw baby tortoises. I have mentioned several times that I want a tortoise. I almost bought one before my sister used me as a permanent turtle-sitter for Norton. The tortoises were sooo cute. I have not lost my love for them and I STILL intend to get one in the future. (by future I mean the next 6-7 months).

*I dropped two of my drinking glasses on Friday. This is the first time I have done something like this since I lived at home. I am slightly surprised that it wasn't Colon that dropped them. No offense, baby!

And since this post is running long, I will stop for now. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Much love and

GO GATORS!
